Ronter Sound Philadelphia
A podcast lives or dies by the voice. The listener may forgive a simple camera, but bad sound, unclear speech, room echo, and uneven microphones make even a good conversation difficult to follow.
At Ronter Sound, we help podcasters record clear, comfortable, natural conversations inside our recording studio in Philadelphia, with a workflow built around voice, speech, timing, and listener comfort.
Studio Setup
Podcast recording should feel relaxed, but the sound should still be controlled. The right microphone position, room setup, monitoring, and recording levels help the conversation stay natural without sounding messy.

Podcast Setup
A good podcast session begins before anyone starts talking. We set microphone levels, check distance from the mic, listen for room noise, and make sure each voice is captured clearly. This matters especially when one person speaks softly and another speaks loudly.
The goal is not to make the podcast feel stiff. The goal is to remove technical distractions so the host and guest can focus on the conversation instead of worrying about the sound.
Multi-Mic Recording
Multi-mic podcast recording needs careful control. Each voice should have its own space, its own level, and enough separation so the final edit is easier to clean and balance. When microphones bleed into each other too much, the podcast can become harder to mix.
We can work with solo podcasts, two-person conversations, interviews, and small group recordings. The session is built around clarity, comfort, and the natural rhythm of speech.
If your project is more like narration, voice work, or spoken content, you may also find our voice, vocal, and speech recording services helpful.
Editing & Cleanup
Podcast editing is not about removing all humanity from the conversation. Natural pauses, breaths, and small imperfections can make speech feel real. But long silences, repeated phrases, clicks, noise, harsh sounds, and uneven volume can make the listener tired.
We can help clean the recording, improve speech clarity, balance voices, reduce distractions, and prepare audio that feels more polished without making the conversation sound artificial.
Related services include dialogue editing, audio restoration and cleanup, and vocal editing and cleanup.
Remote Options
Not every podcast guest can be in the same room. If part of the conversation is remote, we can help plan the session so the local voice is recorded cleanly and the remote side is handled as carefully as possible.
Remote audio depends heavily on the guest’s microphone, internet connection, and room. We cannot turn every remote call into a perfect studio recording, but we can help reduce problems, organize the workflow, and make the final podcast more listenable.
If your project involves online collaboration, you may also want to look at our ADR recording or other spoken-audio services through the main services page.
Related Services
Podcast recording is part of a larger spoken-audio family. Some projects need a conversational tone, some need narration, and some need tighter editing for video or commercial use.
